A Great Day Around the Sea of Galilee - Almost!

The Church of the Multiplication

The day around the Sea of Galilee is the favorite of many students and pilgrims. One has the opportunity to visit most of the sites important to Jesus' ministry.

Today was no exception for our Living Stones group.  We visited Chorazim, the Mount of Beatitudes, the Church of the Primacy, Capernaum and sailed the Sea of Galilee.

But there was one site that is closed on Sundays, the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes.  When I shared this fact, I immediately noticed the disappointment and rightly so.  I then reminded them of a saying and belief in this land.  It is this: when you miss a site that you really wanted to see, it is God's way of assuring you that He will bring you back.

I like that saying.  It has served me, and I hope that it will encourage these students.
