Our Living Stones group spent the day around the Sea of Galilee. After sailing the sea early in the morning, we saw the ancient boat from the 1st century. It is sometimes referred to as the "Jesus boat." There is a greater chance that this boat was one of many sunk during the sea battle between the Zealots and the Romans in 66 C. E.
The day ended with a visit to Tabgha's Church of the Multiplication and Church of the Primacy. Pictured is our visit to the church which remembers the "Feeding of the Five Thousand" found in Mark 6:30 and following. We heard the text read and celebrated the abundance and provision of God.
Inside the church, we saw perhaps the most recognizable mosaic in the country. The mosaic lies under the altar table.
