Jericho, Qumran and the Jordan River

New Baptismal Site

Our Sunday program took us to Jericho, Qumran, and the new baptismal site on the Jordan River.  We could look across the river to Jordan and the visitors who gathered there.

Pastor Tom Biatek led us in the renewal of our baptism.  He spoke of "spiritual archaeology."

Late in the day, those who chose to do so floated in the Dead Sea.  Our day ended with a two-hour drive up the Jordan River Valley to Tiberias.  This great Rift Valley is amazing to see as was our entire day.
