Jet Lag Doesn't Prevent McKendree Students from Enjoying Bethlehem

University, accompanied by two adult leaders, began their 11-Day "Living Stones" program by visiting holy places and sites in the Bethlehem area.  Among the places visited were the Herodion, Shepherds' Field, the Church of the Nativity, and Solomon's Pools

The group also saw ancient threshing floors near Bethlehem.  While visiting, they read a portion of the story of Naomi, Ruth and Boaz which occurred on a threshing floor.

The day was beautiful and somewhat warm.  Besides Bethlehem is still in "Christmas mode."  Orthodox Christians will celebrate Christmas on January 6.
