A Non-Biblical Journey!

McDonald's in Jerusalem
Brenda and I succumbed to our western tastes and urges and walked to the McDonald's near Ben Yehuda Walking Mall.
The journey was invigorating and rewarding, albeit non-biblical.

It is about now in our three-month stay that we must have something of home. This is not a commercial for McDonald's.  We rarely enter one back home.

You can see McDonald's all over the country.  Two years ago, the Golden Arches showed up at Masada of all places.

Initially, the restaurant chain experienced resistance to its standard of uniformity.  But in the end, McDonald's won out.  As a concession there are a few "kosher" McDonald's.  A few!

Yet it was not to be today.  The Big American Junior burgers were served up with french fries, diet Cokes, and sundaes.
