Walking to the Eremos Heights

Reading the Parable of the Sower
It was a beautiful day in the Galilee, our final day in the north.  We took advantage of it and walked from the Mount of Beatitudes to the Eremos Heights.  Jerusalem Center often makes this trek, weather permitting.

We stopped along the way and read the Parable of the Sower (Mark 4: 1-9).  The parable was made alive and vibrant with meaning in the context of this farm land.

After a short stop, we continued on to spend time on the Eremos Heights, the "lonely or deserted place."  Here, we think Jesus  retired often to pray.  It struck us that if Jesus took time from his busy ministry for communion with God, we certainly must do that also.

So much to see around the Sea of Galilee and too little time today.  We headed back to Jerusalem for the night.
