Group Storms Lachish

 

On Day 3 of our program, most of the group stormed the fortress city of Lachish.  Lachish is the last of five fortified cities in the Shephelah that we visited. 

The climb was quite challenging, but the panoramic overlook was rewarding.  The group stands looking west toward the coastal plain.  Behind the group, you can see the Judean Mountains or the Central Highlands.
