The sky in Mississippi this morning is clear and bright blue. I have come to call it a "Masada sky." Such is what I have come to expect when visiting Herod's fortress in the Wilderness. More often than not, the sky is as this morning's.
I have come to discover that not all pilgrims make it to Masada. The site is often offered only on a special itinerary for a free day in the program. The loss is great, beyond a blue sky.
