A Masada Morning

The sky in Mississippi this morning is clear and bright blue.  I have come to call it a "Masada sky."  Such is what I have come to expect when visiting Herod's fortress in the Wilderness.  More often than not, the sky is as this morning's.

I have come to discover that not all pilgrims make it to Masada.  The site is often offered only on a special itinerary for a free day in the program.  The loss is great, beyond a blue sky.

Therefore, let me offer a chance to visit via a video.  The site is explored and the history recounted.  Just click on:

HT:  In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, this is an earlier blog in 2012.  It is offered in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the monumental Masada Excavations.
