| The Wilderness |
Brenda and I spent the day with friends, Alex and Brenda Awad. We spent the day exploring the Wilderness southeast of Jerusalem. The area is best known for providing a context for the temptation of Jesus, his story about the Good Samaritan, and the image of "the valley of the shadow of death."
After a stop for photos of the landscape and a lone camel having lunch, we walked down to St. George's monastery. What we forgot was that we had to walk back up. Wow, what a climb out. Here are a few photos!
